THE NATURE OF SOUND – SYMPHONY OF SCIENCE

THE NATURE OF SOUND – SYMPHONY OF SCIENCE

How do you do, Ladies and Gentlemen,
And boys and girls, and teachers? Our special business today, will be on the
subject of waves and sound To make a sound, something has to vibrate But it won’t start to vibrate by itself First you have to hit it! Are you listening? The nature of sound It’s a pattern of vibrations The nature of sound Moving through the air To make music Listen – it’s all a matter of vibration You see the unifying thread Pulses put the ear drum into motion It’s all a matter of vibration Music changes us, inspires and moves us Vibrations made into intricate designs Music connects us
To ourselves and to others Song lies at the core of life The rhythm of the music Science in music The rhythm of the music Music changes us, inspires and moves us The rhythm of the music Reaches all of us, and unites us Listen! The voice that I have is governed by the frequency of my vocal chords, How my mouth is shaped, and whether I have teeth or not Vibration of voicebox! The nature of sound We live in an ocean
In an ocean of vibration Sound waves travel through the air Like ripples on a pond The nature of sound We live in an ocean
In an ocean of vibration Music flows within us It speaks for our soul Music keeps us in touch with this entire vibrating world
Both outside, and in It is as precious as life itself Music connects us
To ourselves and to others Song lies at the core of life The rhythm of the music Science in music The rhythm of the music Music changes us, inspires and moves us The rhythm of the music Reaches all of us, and unites us The rhythm of the music The rhythm of the music Reaches all of us, and unites us So now when we hear the world around us
We know that sounds are made, when something vibrates Listen to every sound… (Subtitle by David Sieben.) Subtitles by the Amara.org community

  1. Some years ago, I had a mentor. He teaches me about music. He was my absolutly hero. I've learnt so much from him.
He kills himself the other day.
The creativity in me died on the day I got the phonecall of his dead.
I was unable to do music, to listen do music, to work with music.
It's like 10 years ago that he left, but I still have very big problems to hear music.
But the music from melodysheep calms me down. I feel safe and calm when I hear the mixes.
And now I'm sitting at my PC and crying.
    I love your work Melodysheep.
Please never stop to create your wonderfull pieces of art.

  2. I think I like this one the most cause it's got more of an EDM feel than any of the other Symphony of Science videos.

  3. Music is one proof that science and art is connected, like painting with chemistry; so I don’t know why some science majors belittle those who are art majors. I’m a science major and I don’t humiliate or underestimate art majors only so I can feel superior to them because I’m not a self centered person. I appreciate and love art myself. Besides, without creativity and imagination, we wouldn’t have today’s technology.

  4. Oh boy! Where have you been all my life?!! One of the best things I have listened my entire life! Keep up the amazing work!
PS, can you please make a song about aurora 😀

  5. Cuando piensas que Symphony of Science no podría sorprenderte más, encuentras esta magnífica… Masterpiece!

  6. If Bill Nye had this instead of those silly songs at the end of his episodes……..I would have enjoyed it a LOT more.

  7. Now we know that things do indeed vibrate by themselves. The whole world 🌍 is in vibration as are we. ✌️ 💙

  8. This is fking rad! Seriously the sound so great, the picture became its limiting factor.

  9. melodysheep, you, again, KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF! Fantastic beat, and great video! I'd love to see some covers and remixes of this too. 🙂

  10. Can I request The8bitDrummer to cover this song? Can you reach out to him on Twitter (@the8bitdrummer) about licensing your tracks to him to cover on his channel? Thanks! Love the content!

  11. Imagine if Symphony of Science was produced for Bill Nye's TV show, the original Science Guy? Wouldn't that have been even more awesome? 🙂

  12. I have met 1 of your videos for "future universe and death of time", and now I'm here checking every video. Holy shit it's profound.! you are genius

  13. I just found this video. The way you present sound and musicians in this video, together with all these little techniques to create a unique cyclic 8-bar chord progression that sounds so interesting and experimental with all its rhythmical patterns… I'm close to tears. I love sound! Thank you!

All in all, the music in your videos is truly inspiring and unique! I love it so much!

  14. Melodysheep is from the nature of science, this music is so good.
I am still in May 2019, and i'm sure i will not stop earing good music from him

  15. Hi, its 2019 here, but is still soo good this music man… although do someone know what the clip or movie of the minute 1:08?

  16. You gotta love how almost every person featured in this video is white — the people who would appear to generally feel the rhythm of music the least. Let’s at least get some black or even Indian people in there!

  17. We've got pictures of Adam and myself with our girlfridnds. Me xt, we're waiting to reap the rewards of Rick Crank's Rock Star life. We have pics of Rick with J-beib, telling Beib about his rock star status. Now some one on this room I going to be a star.
